A Big Basketball Fan

教学目标

1、通过阅读绘本,能了解故事大意。

2、通过图片和上下文理解,能理解、会读以下单词:fan, gym, team, fast, dribbling, shooting, dunking, poster, amazing

3、通过阅读,能理解以下单词:luck, , praise, design, coach, without

4通过阅读故事,能够知道每个人都有每个人的天赋,并应该珍惜天赋,继续努力。

教学重难点

1、  通过阅读绘本,能了解故事大意;能够通过插图和上下文,帮助理解新词意思;能够通过教师指导,增进阅读技巧。

2、  通过小组合作,学习绘本;理解绘本中出现的新词;通过阅读故事,明白一个道理。

教学过程:

 Step1 Warming up

 1.Sing a songrain rain go awaywith the video.  

 2.Talk in pairs

T: Do you like playing basketball?  Can you do the actions?

  Show the videos about basketball actions.

  Teach Ss to do the actions.

Step2 Pre-reading

1.Look and guess

T: Im very glad that all of you like sport. And this lovely boy, Jack. He likes sport , too.

Guess! What sport does he like?

Ss: Maybe he likes football/tennis...

Really? Football? You have so many answers.

Look!出图 He likes----

Yes! He likes basketball very much. He is a basketball fan.

Step3 While-reading (Work in pairs and show)

Task 1(任务1

4-5页,完成3个题目。

1.What does he love doing?

2.When he cheers for his favourite team, is he excited?

3.小组完成4-5页朗读,每人一句。

Task 2(任务2)

6-11页,完成3个题目。

1.Does he want to join the team?

2.Can he join the basketball team?  Why?

3.Jack cannot join the team ,how does he feel(感觉)?

Task 3(任务3)

8-9页,表演。

六人小组合作,一人扮演Jack,一人扮演basket,其他同学描述。

  He is not good at dribbling or shooting.

  Let alone dunking.

Task 4(任务4)

官滩中心小学校篮球队正在招收新成员。

   规则如下:教练说动作,其他同学做动作.

Task 5(任务5)

14-16页,完成3个题目。

1.What does Jack draw at an Art lesson?

2.How does Miss Van say? How do the other students do?

3.Is he happy at this Art lesson?

Task 6(任务6)

根据14—17页,情景再现

六人小组合作,一人朗读Jack部分,一人朗读Miss Van部分,其他同学描述。

Task 7 (任务7)

17-21页,完成题目。

1.What else does Jack do about basketball?

2.What does the coach say to Jack?

3.At last(最后)is Jack popular?

Task 8 (任务8)

18-21页,情景再现。

六人小组合作,组长扮演教练,一人扮演Jack,其他同学描述。

Step4 After-reading

1.Retell the story(四个情景中选一个)

  love everything about... Want to join the team    do something else  about...

2.Think and say

T:Do you like Jack after reading? We can say Jack is a_________basketball fan. For example, a happy basketball fan.Because ...

Ss: lovely/great/wonderful/crazy ...

T:I love all of your ideas. In fact, the title is big

  Jack is short and thin. Why we use big here?

  Yes, Jack doesnt give up easily.

3.Share the feelings

In the world, every one has his gift. Look at these famous people, they have great gift, but they still practice hard and never give up. So they finally become popular. Remember, everyone has a gift, dont give up easily. Practice hard with your talent, you will be successful.

Step5  Homework

1.Try to act the story with your partner;

2.Tell the story to your parents.

3. Respond after reading(PPT展示)
