本单元话题是问路和指路侧重语言的实用性，本单元在话题和场景上是Unit 2 Story time的延续。学习一些常用的地点和问路指路的句型如How do I get to…?及其You can get on the metro/bus at …Station. Then, walk to/go along … Turn right/left at the traffic lights. You can see the … on the right/left，让学生在情景中理解、感知并掌握。

在文本学习过程中，苏老师首先让学生观看卡通，了解story谈论主题，从而引出故事人物：Su Hai,Yang Ling和policeman。通过两个问题How does Yang Ling ask the way? How do Su Hai and the policeman show the way? 深入挖掘文本，展开故事教学，通过听、说、读、写等多种任务，引导学生多读文本、找出关键信息，通过地图的呈现让学生对文本内容有更直观形象的感悟，梳理文本内容，并对文本进行输出，从而检测学生的自学情况。
