情境教学中不可忽视的背景知识教学。创设好的语境固然重要,但也必需加强在语境中运用语言的能力。英语是一门交际性语言,我们应该教会同学把英语应用到实际生活中进行交流。因此,只有了解英语国家的社会文化,风俗习惯等背景知识,才干正确、恰当的使用英语进行交际。如我在教“let’s go shopping”时,我把教室安排成商店的情景,身临其境,在其间学习生词book shop, silk shop, clothes shop 等,在同学主动的提问和快乐的学习中,我们完成了课堂教学。
以情境促动语言与想像力。如同学在学习了现在进行时态,我试着与同学一起来想象正在发生在丛林里的事。同学们一起编故。小朋友的想象力是值得我们敬佩的。一节课下来,他们竟然编成了这样的故事。整理如下:It is a sunny day. In the forest, the birds are singing. A bird is singing. The giraffe is dancing. The rabbits are running. The monkey is jumping. The elephant is walking. The mouse is running. The cat is running. The cat is catching the mouse. The snake is eating a rabbit. The fish is swimming.
