目前所用的小学英语教材内容贴近学生的生活实际，插图生动形象，情趣盎然；篇幅短小精悍，文化深厚。教材中涉及知识的点、线、面都影射着我们的日常生活，因此教师需要创设生动和真实的语言环境，让学生通过自主、合作、探究的学习方式激荡起学习英语的兴趣和热情，在动态真实的环境中感受英语学习生活化的乐趣。

   从现实生活中选取与教学内容相关的素材，同时深入挖掘教材中的生活化元素，做到链接真实生活，活化教学内容。实际教学中采用的教学活动有：

    1.介绍自己的朋友

unit3 My Friends的教学过程中，引导学生学会用英语介绍自己的朋友，介绍他人的信息包括年龄、性别、胖瘦、爱好和性格及外貌特征等许多方面。其他学生通过人物信息的介绍，猜测所指人物是谁？目的是将课本知识的学习与具体生活相联系，借助丰富多彩的真实活动帮助学生学会表达和清晰地介绍人物。例如，有位学生做了如下的介绍：My friend is a girl. She is 11. She is thin. She has long black hair and big eyes. She likes music. Who’s she?

2.介绍家庭

家是学生最熟悉的地方。在unit6 Meet My Family的教学过程中，家庭成员、父母的职业、家庭成员的爱好和性格特征等都是学生感兴趣的内容。在学习本单元时，笔者要求学生上课时带上家人的照片。由于话题熟悉，因此学生在活动中表现得很主动、很积极。一位学生用如下语言描述了自己的家:

Look at this picture. This is my father. He is a doctor. He is tall and strong. He likes sports. This is my mother. She is a teacher. She is quiet. She is beautiful. She likes flowers. This is me. And this is my little cat. I like it very much. I like my parents, too.

3.介绍校园

校园是学生快乐成长的乐园，学生们很多快乐的时光是在学校里度过的。所以学生对所在的校园是非常熟悉的，并且也非常了解学校每个场所的功能与作用。因此在教四年级下册unit1 Our School的时候，笔者利用相机拍摄学校的场所，让学生看到真实的图片，能对应地说出相关的单词。如：playground ( The picture shows that students are doing morning exercises on the playground.); library (The picture shows that many students are reading story-books in the library.); teacher’s office (The picture shows that a student is handing in the homework.) canteen (The picture shows that some people are having lunch. )
