Step1．Learning aims   （1）学生能初步理解并且会听、会说、会读和拼写单词及词组coal Earth oil paper plastic wood reuse save  protect the Earth  most of our energy  cut down （2）能听懂、会说、会读和会写句型We use …to…We should save… We should not… （3）初步培养学生复述故事的能力。 （4）通过学习学生学会热爱地球，保护地球。 Step2．Pre-reading   Read and answer. 呈现课文插图的四幅照片，要求学生观察图片并思考问题，引出本单元的话题。 T: What can you see in the picture? Learn words. plastic, coal, oil ,paper, wood, water 利用图片教授目标词汇 呈现另一组有关原材料应用的图片； We use water to wash clothes/ brush teeth/ cook food. We use coal to make electricity. We use oil to make gas. We use paper to make books. We use plastic to make bags/bottles/ toys. We use wood to make desks /beds/ boats. We use mental to make cars/trains/ships. We use glass to make bottles/windows. Step3.While-reading Watch and read. 播放课文动画，整体呈现课文，让学生了解保护地球的四个方面 How can we protect the Earth? We can save water. We can save energy. We can save trees.  We should not use too much plastic. 自读课文第三段，完成表格 Wood Comes from We use..to.. We should not Trees Make tables, chairs Cut down too many trees. Step4. Post-reading 1. Listen and fill 2.再读课文，完成P70 Step5．Consolidation 1.归纳总结 We should  We should not… Step6．Checkout 完成书P77 Checkout time 的 Think and write活动
