1. 1. Lead-in.
T: I like English, too. Today, let's visit the English Club. (揭题,板书课题The English Club) Read after me, please. Visit the English Club, visit. (领读,齐读) We are the visitors, visitors.(齐读,个别读) visit — visitor(比较读) 2. T: There are some students in the English Club. Do you want to make friends with them?
T: Now let's introduce ourselves. I'm from Wuxi, China. I'm Chinese. I speak Chinese.(板书)Where are you from?(板书) T: ...is from Wuxi. Wuxi is a city. ... is from Nanjing. Nanjing is a city, too. Read after me, city, city. 3. T: Wuxi and Nanjing are different cities. Read after me, city, different cities. 4. T: We are from different cities, but we are from the same country. Where are we from? T: Yes, China is a country. It's our country. (课件出示世界地图,点出中国的位置) What other countries do you know? T: Yes, the UK is a country, too. (在地图上点出英国的位置) Read after me, the UK. (强调the的读音) 用以上方式教学the USA,France两个国家名称。 T: China, the UK, the USA and France are different countries. Read after me, country, countries, different countries. 5.T: (课件呈现部分英语俱乐部的成员)Where are they from? Where is he from? 用以上方式教学单词American和French,并将两组单词the USA, America, American和France, French分别作比较。 |

通过交谈自然引出本课课题及新授单词,并通过比较学习的方法帮助学生理解和掌握visit,visitor两个词的不同读音与含义,让学生在探索中学习新知。
在新授阶段创设“参观英语俱乐部”的情境,让学生在真实的语境中学习新的语言知识,在和谐、宽松的语言氛围中应用知识,培养语言的综合运用能力。同时,让学生作自我介绍时具体到某个城市是为了给单词city的教学进行铺垫。
在教学不同的国家名称时,用多媒体课件呈现世界地图,标记相应国家的位置及名称,一方面可让学生更直观、清晰地学习新词,另一方面让学生对世界各个国家的位置有一个初步的了解,拓宽知识面。
以循序渐进的方式教学本课时的新单词和句型,并将其融入一定的情景对话中,从自我介绍到询问俱乐部中的新成员,从第一人称的表达方法过渡至第三人称的转述介绍,从易到难,逐步深入,符合学生的认知规律。

Step3: Consolidation
1. Play a game.

T: (利用课件呈现Tony的照片)Look at this boy. Do you know him? Let's listen to the passage, then try to answer the questions. 问题: a. What's his name? b. Where is he from? c. Where does he live? 录音内容: Hello, boys and girls. I'm Tony White. I'm from the USA. I live in New York. 在此过程中教学单词 New York,并呈现相应的风景图。 T: Tony White is a new visitor, too. The children in the English Club are talking with him. Now, let's read the dialogue quickly, and catch the information about: a. Who speaks English and Chinese? b. Where is Ben from? 教师利用课件呈现相关阅读指导。请学生通过语篇阅读完成下列表格。 |

设计“猜一猜”的游戏,让学生通过细心观察回答与本课知识点相关的问题,使其在新授环节之后有一个全面的操练过程,同时开阔他们的眼界,拓展知识面。
从Tony White这一人物引入本课学习重点——语篇的理解,将“参观英语俱乐部”的活动带入到文章的学习之中。利用听力练习的形式让学生自主解决问题,通过听语篇内容了解主要人物Tony的相关信息,将听、说训练以及新词教学有机地结合在一起,有效提高教学效率。
让学生在第一遍语篇阅读的基础上找出课文重点,在提问时注意问题的难度,从易到难,使不同层次的学生都能获得学习的自信心。同时,给学生提供一些学习方法的小提示,如当我们读较长的对话或短文时可以尝试速记,包括时间、地点、人物等,帮助学生学会学习。
